Do-able Renewable Energy Fair 2010
On Saturday 10th April the Digby Hall (next to the library) in Sherborne hosted a renewable energy fair, Do-able Renewable, officially opened by Deputy Mayor Jane Smith at 10:45am.
See the event’s own website http://sites.google.com/site/doablerenewable/ for full archived details.
Here is the text from the main page of the event’s website:
With the new Feed-In Tariff coming into effect from 1st April, the price of renewable electricity fed back into the grid is guaranteed for years, plenty of time to pay back your investment, and more. This means a better price for energy generated from the home.
For the whole day, from 10:30am to 6pm, the Digby Hall will be filled with a variety of exhibitions on renewable energy (solar panels, wind turbines, and more), plus energy-saving ideas. There will be presentations throughout the day on a range of topics, Circus Skills workshops for children, and information stalls.
As well as bustling on the inside, a variety of vehicles and trailers will be parked outside the hall, demonstrating practical and exciting renewable equipment, technology and solutions.
The Mighty Bite will be on hand to provide food and refreshment, and FREE tea and coffee will be available.
Do-able Renewable is jointly organised by Sherborne Environment Forum, Transition Sherborne Area and Ecos Trust.
