Have any of us in Sherborne heard of the Community Orchard in Dorchester and want to find out more? Jenny Shackleford will talk about this and much more at our next meeting, to be held at the newly refurbished Swan Inn, off Cheap Street, Sherborne DT9 3AX. Jenny is secretary of Dorchester’s Transition Town and will give a personal account of their achievements. We will also have mulled wine and mince pies to celebrate the season. In case you wondered, a Transition Town is a town or village which has decided to take steps to reduce its environmental impact and concentrate on building up a sustainable community.
Jenny’s presentation is on Wednesday 8th December, in the upstairs room of the Swan Inn. Doors open at 7:15pm and the presentation will start at 7:30pm.
