The Community Orchard (or Productive Tree Planting) group is interested in helping set up schemes for the planting and long term maintenance of productive trees, primarily fruit and nut trees, for people living in the Sherborne area. The aim is to help provide people with a source of free food and a new productive space where community events such as harvesting and pressing can take place. We hope that these spaces will become central to the communities they serve, acting to engage people of all ages in building resilience and sustainability, while furthering a sense of togetherness into their communities. . . . → Read More: Productive Trees for the Communities of Sherborne Area

Apologies for the short notice, but our next meeting will be tomorrow evening at 7pm, at Cheap Street Church Hall, Cheap Street, Sherborne. The summer has seen a lot of change, with projects started, people joining, people leaving. So the evening will be very much a reflection of where we are now, what we have done so far, the successes and setbacks, and a consolidation of what we have. And also to discuss and air our and your hopes for the future. . . . → Read More: Transition Sherborne Meeting 13 Oct
