The Town Councillors from East Ward, Cllr. Peter Rhodes and Cllr. Jon Andrews, joined forces with the Sherborne branch of CPRE and Sherborne Area Partnership to address this problem. Initially it was agreed to send a group of litter pickers to certain areas of the town where the problem seemed most acute. This resulted in 15 bags of litter in one two hour session! Local experts will share their knowledge on all aspects of growing fruit and vegetables. . . . → Read More: Dig Up Sherborne The Community Orchard (or Productive Tree Planting) group is interested in helping set up schemes for the planting and long term maintenance of productive trees, primarily fruit and nut trees, for people living in the Sherborne area. The aim is to help provide people with a source of free food and a new productive space where community events such as harvesting and pressing can take place.
